Subtract =A1 – B1 Subtracts B1 from A1
Multiply =A1 * B1 Multiplies A1 and B1
Divide =A1 / B1 Divides A1 by B1

Function Example Description
SUM =SUM(A1:A5) Adds all numbers from A1 to A5

This project is about creating a digital record of Padma Bhushan awardees in Microsoft Excel. The Padma Bhushan is the third-highest civilian award of India, and this project shows details of famous personalities who received it in the early years.
What the Project Includes:
Year-wise Records – The table starts from 1954 and shows awardees from different years.
Awardee Details – For each person, the following information is included:
Year of award
Name of the awardee
Field (Science, Arts, Literature, Medicine, Sports, etc.)
State they belong to
Picture of the awardee
XLOOKUP Function – Instead of searching manually, the file is designed with XLOOKUP. When a year is selected, Excel automatically shows the awardee’s details, including their name, field, state, and photo.
Pictures for Realism – Photographs of each awardee are inserted to make the project visually attractive.
Video Output – A demo video has been created to show how this Excel file works in real time, making it easier to present and share.
Skills Learned:
Practical use of the XLOOKUP function for quick searching.
Creating a database in Excel with structured fields.
Inserting and formatting images and text together.
Designing a project that is both informative and visually appealing.
Preparing video output from Excel work for presentations.
Why This Project is Special:
It connects history and education with computer skills.
Students learn how Excel can be used as a mini database system.
The use of real photos makes the project engaging and interactive.
It highlights that Excel is not limited to numbers, but can also be used for information management and display.
Final Result:
The final file works like a smart Padma Bhushan Awardee Book in Excel. By entering a year, the user instantly gets details of awardees from that year – along with their field, state, and photograph.
